About Hanan Yajoor

I am a Creative Director, Filmmaker, and Media Specialist with over 10 years of experience leading documentary, narrative, and multimedia projects in conflict zones, humanitarian settings, and academic institutions. My path started as Media Officer for a youth foundation, where I built its first visual identity and ran its website, social channels, and newsletters, before earning my B.A. in Film & Media Studies from Stanford University.

Technically, I operate fluently across the entire pipeline: 4K cinema cameras, ENG kits, DSLRs, PTZ systems, live switching, lighting, and field audio. At the Stanford Center for Global & Online Education, I produce live course broadcasts and supervise a team of student camera operators. Internationally, I have managed multi-editor remote proxy workflows for global summits in Montréal and directed documentary crews in high-pressure environments.

Throughout my career, I have produced commissioned films for global organizations including the BBC, UNICEF, Oxfam, CARE, UNOCHA, and Human Rights Watch, while leading youth filmmaking boot camps in Morocco and the Bay Area. My throughline is constant: listen deeply, bridge artistic vision with client goals, and tell human stories with craft and care.
